Multiply the number by the percent. Then divide by 100. For example, 20% of 150 is 30.

Divide the first number by the second number. Then multiply by 100. For example, 30 is 20% of 150.
How do I calculate a percent increase or decrease?
Subtract the old number from the new number. Divide by the old number. Then multiply by 100. A negative result is a decrease.
How do I calculate a discount?
Find the percent of the price. For example, a 15% discount on 200 is 30. The price after the discount is 170.
Why does the tool show an error?
You cannot divide by zero. So the tool cannot find a share of zero or a change from zero.
